Sutra on the Questions of the Lad Ratnacandra 宝月童子所問経 (T. 14, No. 437) A Mahayana sutra originally written in Sanskrit and was translated into Tibetan and Chinese. In this sutra, Śākyamuni Buddha instructs Ratnacandra to worship the ten Buddhas in their Pure Lands in the ten quarters. In the Commentary on the Ten Bodhisattva Stages, this sutra is quoted by Nāgārjuna in his arguments on attaining the stage of nonretrogression while in one’s present existence through reciting the names of the Buddhas in the ten quarters. The name Amida is one of them.
