stage of the truly settled　正定聚 Those in the Pure Land who will unfailingly attain enlightenment. They are distinguished from those who are “falsely settled”, who are destined to evil realms, and those who are “not settled”. Shinran further interprets the term “truly settled” to refer to persons in this world who, through their wholehearted entrusting to Amida’s Primal Vow, will be born in the Pure Land and necessarily attain enlightenment.
