Saṃghavarman　康僧鎧 A monk from India or Samarkand who went to China in 254 and translated sutras at the White Horse Temple in Lo-yang, including the Larger Sutra. The traditional ascription of the Chinese translation of this sutra to him, however, has been doubted by a number of modern scholars.
