no-birth　無生 A term used to describe the nature of nirvana. In Mahayana Buddhism generally, “no-birth” signifies the extinction of the discursive thinking by which we conceive of things as arising and perishing, forming attachments to them. In Shin Buddhism, one realizes “no-birth” upon birth into the Pure Land.
