Larger Sutra 大経 An abridged title of the central and the longest one (hence, the “Larger” Sutra) among the Three Pure Land Sutras, which form the foundation of the Pure Land teaching. The other two sutras are the Contemplation Sutra and the Smallller Sutra. The Chinese translation ascribed to Saṃghavarman of the Wei Dynasty carries the title, 無量寿経 Muryōjukyō, which means the Sutra of Immeasurable Life.
