easy practice 易行 One of the two paths distinguished by Nāgārjuna for the attainment of the stage of nonretrogression in the bodhisattva path. He calls this the “easy practice of entrusting as the means for attaining the stage”. This is taken by T’an-luan to mean entrusting oneself to the Primal Vow of Amida Buddha. He likens it to “sailing on board a boat” in contrast to the ordinary way of attaining enlightenment through difficult practices which is compared to “journeying over land full of hardship”.See difficult practice.
