Buddha dharma　仏法 The term “Dharma” has many connotations, but in this compound, it refers to truth or teachings. Buddha Dharma, therefore, means the truth that Śākyamuni Buddha realized and the teachings that he expounded which lead to the attainment of Buddhahood.
