Ajātaśatru　阿闍世 Lit., “unborn enemy”. Son of King Bimbisāra and Queen Vaidehī of Magadha. One of the main figures of the Tragedy at Rājagṛha, the introductory story to the Contemplation Sutra. At the instigation of Devadatta, he usurped the throne and imprisoned his father.
